Virginia Tech

I think the title just about says it all. Most people who read this blog know I'm a VT graduate (class of 1999). My heart is just breaking for Tech and for Blacksburg. I hate that the term "Virginia Tech" now brings to mind images of a shooter and death on a terrible scale, when it should bring to mind pictures of a beautiful, safe, peaceful mountain campus with wonderful people. That's the Tech I remember.

It's strangely eerie to me to be so familiar with the places described. I didn't know any of those killed nor did I have any of the professors when I was an engineering student. But I remember Norris Hall. I had many classes there. It's so odd to know exactly where he stood, to know where the students were and what they were doing.

I am so saddened today for Tech and for the families of the students and professors.
